Typical kees. Runs around like mad for a bit then flops down and looks at you "Who me?? Nah, I wouldn't do that!!"
They are the best dogs ever.

I LOVE KEES!!!!! I have had 5 in my entier life however our 4th got cancer at only 7 years, which had never happened to us before so it was a massive shock, and we were basically told he had 3 days to live! I miss Gracht soo much... It just proves how great Kees are cos this event didn't put us off getting another! Our 5th is called Cuilean, gaelic for puppy and darling, is first face I see in the morning and brights up even my darkest days. I love him to bits! He even won the Arran Show!!!!

@TerraNik /Yeh, your right! We did have a keeshond (Molly) and a cat (Jacob). They were the best friends.

Our Keeshond, when she was a puppy, did the same thing with the water. It's adorable.

We live near Penticton, B.C. and have owned 5 Kees over the year. They were all between 1-5 when they joined our family. We have never had a puppy - but have reserved one from a litter that is due at the end of October. This will be a huge adjustment -mostly for me - I know how much work will be involved - my husband and 2 sons, 13 and 12 are oblivious and are very delirious everytime they see one. Oh my!

Mmm they might get a rude shock!! haha!! Though having so much experience with the breed I'm sure you won't find it too difficult - aside from the sleepless nights. :) Good luck!!

Thanks so much, Terra. What great info. We have a reputable breeder somewhat near; Purrkees in Sarnia, Ontario. We are making inquiries about availability. We have a large house set in the woods here... And lots of walking paths through those woods.
There's an offleash dog park a block away...so lots of room and dog friends nearby too.
I really appreciate your advice.

No problem! Good luck! Don't forget your sense of humour with this breed - they are very cheeky! But that's why we love them!
