Well, I personally know Brennan (who wrote the song) and it does have a spiritual meaning. But of course if you are spiritually dead then you would never know. You can deny God if you want to, but what if you are wrong? If I am wrong I just missed out on........ummm, I guess I didn't miss anything ;-)

ummm... yes, half a brain? Some of the greatest minds through the ages started out atheist but after careful study and application of logic came to the conclusion that God does exist and that Jesus Christ is His Son. I could give you a long list of these people but I realize that you have made up your mind. I hope you find your way in life.

@DirgeTheWitcher whats the meaning of life for someone who is infatuated with the life after this one? why don't you kill yourself? oh your not done converting people for jesus. who are you to say i have nothing to live for? or atheists in general? i live a happy life. why is it most atheist divorce rate is much lower than the christian divorce rate? teen pregnancy? if i have to live my life as a sheep for god than i'd rather be a wolf.

@thompson8305 The assumption that one is "being a slave" to anything involved with God shows just how ignorant you are to the other side of this argument. Remember kids, you can't effectively argue anything if you have no idea what you're talking about. Common sense? What do we actually know in this universe concretely? You can't explain why we're here, where we came from or how much time we have being an atheist. So really, what is the meaning of life for someone with nothing to live for?

@jsprag8054 please make your list. i know many people as well who frankly use common sense. i enjoy this music but i am completly unreligious. spiritualism possible but being a slave to a higher being that may or may not exist doesn't seem to appealing to me.

I love how religious people can find god/spirituality in this song....that's pretty ridiculous if you ask me, and @ jsprag8054...to believe in god for the sole reason of "What if I'm wrong" is the lamest reason to be religious, and just goes to show how blind and ignorant creationists are. To me this song is simply about seasons changing, and the beauty of nature, hence the title of the song Autumn. I hope some day soon society moves on from religion and it's medieval ties.
