The Geiger counter used in the video is a kit from Italy, that I assembled (100 €, from "nuova elettronica"). It shows the value of radioactivity in mRoentgen/h. I've bought this marbles for 10 € from eBay, they are safe to handle and the radiation dose is very low.

  • the lead container is far more dangerous than the marbles. wash your hands!

  • Dont worry, it's painted with transparent paint! In that way it is safe to touch.

  • The marbles are stored in a home-build lead container, it's not necessary because the radiation is very low, but just in case .... :-S

  • That lead pig is great! I have the same marbles. Where did you get the pig? Also, the plastic you left them in is protection enough (though I took mine out of the plastic). Nice Geiger counter too.
