your argument is groundless. There's no difference when given the context. This New Speak mental games your kind play is deceptive and weak.

Hmm, interesting that this audio has been edited to leave out the whole section on bringing together the community organizers to form the coalition of powers that bring about redistributive change - and fails to point out that he starts these comments with the successes and failures - this being the failure !!!

With all due respect, it would be difficult to do so since over the last 100 years a true market based economy hasn't existed, and here in the United States we lost the notion of market economies under Teddy Roosevelt.

Just read the history and chart it out. We started this slip to socialism long before Obama's parents were conceived!

Wealth redistribution does not work. There are poor people in this country because there are people who don't know how to manage/save money. Throwing money at them won't do them any good because they lack the skills needed to capitalize on the "free" money.

dude what is your point? he said something like "im not confident in bringing redistributive change through the court" - so basically he's saying he wants to do it and they're discussing how to do it. obama's marxist policies will destroy the country

Obama intends to use community organizing programs like America Serves as an engine for redistributive change (which is what he said the civil rights movement lost track of).

So instead of legislating redistribution, he expects Americans to work to cause it (including all middle & high school students).

The wording for America Serves was changed from "require" to "all".

Six trillion dollars of hot checks from Japan and you could do the same thing.

Just tripple the national debt 8 years. Ask Cngress to spend more than they would allow every year you are in office...

By the way housing under Reagan? Did you never hear about the S&L Crisis?

cleanairusa-"Democratic Congress under Reagan spent LESS each year than Reagan requests."

Really? Can you document that? Cause that's not at all what I remember from the 80s. I do remember him sending budgets back to Congress because they were too high, and remonstrating with Congress other times for out of proportion budgets, and pushing for the line item veto to try to get a handle on out of control spending.

Perhaps you meant they might have spent less on certain items than he requested.

You absolutely miss the point. He stated that the fact that the civil rights movement took place outside of the legislature and therefore, could not perform 'redistributive work' was 'a tragedy'. You can't get around it. It's socialism, and that's all there is to it."From each according to his ability,to each according to his need" -- Karl Marx
