http://www.xheli.com/wadrla4chmer.html - Walkera HM Lama 2Q share the same frame with the Lama 2-1, it is a new generation palm size helicopter equipped with 2.4G advanced radio system and metal upgrades. Features a new design 5-in-1 receiver with new design on broad servos and a upgraded Speed Controller circuit to give more stable performance.

Because of the extra weight on the Scale Fuselage, the Lama 2Q performs more stable than the Lama 2-1, we find that it's quite good for the beginners, since the fuselage can protect most part of the helicopter electronics. Thanks to the small gears drive trains, they offer quiet and smoother flight. It is not a 2 Channel toy. It is a serious 4 Channel all direction RC helicopter for players from beginners to experts.

After a test flight from our heli guy, we find that Lama 2Q has improved the overall performance of Co-Axel helis, it sets a new bench mark in micro helicopter.

  • Are variable pitch copters harder to fly? or is it just the setting up and trim that puts them out of reach of the novice?

  • The tail rotor is probably just spinning in the breeze form the main rotors. You are right a co-axial does not need a tail rotor. They just put it on for looks. Let me know if you have more questions.
