A cover I recorded of the new This Town Needs Guns song.

Throughout the song several different guitars play different things, but the video is solely of the main guitar.

All rights and acknowledgements go to 'This Town Needs Guns' and Sargent House.

I am not a singer, I do not possess the vocal prowess of Henry Tremain, nor do I possess the dexterity of Tim Collis, but I thought I would have a go anyway.

My camera focussed on my table rather than me creating some off Gaussian blur on the video, sorry for that.

  • This is excellent.

  • @eightshotringcaps Hey there! Thanks for watching. Just checked some of your drum vids out, some really cool stuff you have going.

  • @IntroducingLemurs Thanks, glad you enjoyed the other stuff I have. I will be doing loads more TTNG, plan to cover the new album in its entirety when it drops. I'll sub you, i really like this cover. Keen to see more TTNG on guitar.

  • @eightshotringcaps That sounds awesome, man. Cheers for the sub. I'm hoping to get 'I'll forgive you for throwing that rock' up soon, maybe a chinchilla cover too, when I get the time to practise it more.

  • So you actually tabbed this whole thing out since the few days ago that it was released on YouTube? That's really impressive dude, hella props. <3

  • @manikay Definitely, can't wait to see some more covers! I only tuned to DADGAD as I was trying to get the cover out ASAP, and really had no idea to what it was tuned, but was later informed by Henry Tremain that DADGAD was incorrect tuning. Good luck with your cover. :)

  • @IntroducingLemurs I just tabbed this out a couple of days ago, and I use a slightly different tuning than you, and also a slightly different tab; I think I tune to DAEAC#D (Don't have my guitar on hand to check) which lets you play with open strings a whole lot more than DADGAD does. Anyhoo, going to try a cover and put it up within a week, hope you'll check it out!

  • @SleepDirtyJazzySet Yeah, I agree. I might redo the cover once I have had some more practise at the song, and now I have learned Henry plays it in a different tuning, which might make the song a touch easier (if only fingering wise). Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • Cool, you need a more practice to actually get the tempo of most parts accurately

  • @BenScooter1 haha cheers man. I just sat down and figured it out due to the the fact that I thought the song was beautiful and I wanted to understand it better. Thanks for watching :)
