  • my father was diagnosed with adult onset tay sachs at the age of 21. They told him he would be dead by 27. Hes 42 now!! He has trouble speaking, he lost the ability to walk 3 years ago, has almost no motor skills, and chokes on everything he tries to eat. He is now rapidly losing control of his muscle movements. And guess what, he lives everyday with a smile and uses what little bit of disability he gets to make his children happy. Thanks POPS

  • I don't mean to be nosy or anything, and you don't have to reply back, but just out of curiosity...

Do you happen to have a close family member or friend that has it?
