Doorstep Calling should be banned. They are annoying and ignore signs saying "No Callers Unless by Appointment".
That is bad enough, you then get these kinda guys who rip-off the eldery or vulnarable.
If we want to buy their stuff we will visit a shop, phone a number or visit a website. We don't need this kind of intrusion into our personal life either at our door or on our phone.
