This is a demonstration of my Locomotion System for the Unity game engine.

The Locomotion System automatically blends keyframed or motion-captured walk and run cycles and then adjusts the movements of the bones in the legs to ensure that the feet step correctly on the ground. The system can adjust animations made for a specific speed and direction on a plain surface to any speed, any direction, and any curvature, on any surface, including arbitrary steps and slopes.

  • Im in need of help, It seems like when i try to use the locomotion system in unity and try to use the coyote prefab there is no mesh what so ever! im trying to test it on how it works for 4 legged animals! Can some one please help!

  • It s a nice tool , the problem is that in the unity demo the character start to go crazy while changing direction on the stair and really i don't understand why that man walk like if he has a broom in his ass :-)

  • @bluevision2100 So you would rather have a Mario game where he just slides all over the place and has no animation whats so ever. You don't really get a feel for the game if most of the animation sucks. I'm not saying that the way your thinking is bad i'm just saying that it's nice just to have little things that show that most game creators care about their games. Even just small things like foot prints in snow or sand.
