Karen Carpenter: I Won't Say I'm in Love

NOTE: This is NOT Karen Carpenter singing. I made the video for fun. Sorry for any confusion.

I've always thought that Karen Carpenter and John Denver had great stage chemistry, so I added a little Disney and made a romance of my own.

I'm aware that both Karen and John had their own personal lives; I just thought that the music and the clips worked well together. :)

All clips are taken from the Carpenters First Television Special, and the song is I Won't Say I'm in Love, from Disney's "Hercules."

Imagine Richard and the rest of the band as the Greek chorus, John as the dashing gentleman, and Karen as the lovely lady. Not too much of a stretch. Enjoy! :)

@zannazbanana yah, but by the same token, u didn't say that it WASN'T karen singing. the title shouldn't be "karen carpenter: i won't say i'm in love" because it's misleading. when you're looking at the thumbnail description, there's no indication that it's not k singing, so you assume it's k singing. and then you click on the thumbnail to listen to who you think is going to be k, and you hear this nobody. the fact that it's not k singing should be noted in the title.

This is a pretty cool show. I was raised on Disney, so I can tell right away that the song is not done by the Carpenters. Karen sings much better in my opinion. It is a song on Hercules. This music video won't make my favorites, but it is still cool. Nice pictures of Karen and John.

Karen Carpenter and John Denver were adorable! (and their voices blended so beautifully in "Comin' Through the Rye/ Good Vibrations." I wish they had done more together (after seeing that, you kind of want them to run off through the rye together!)

2 of my favorite performers (karen is my #1 favorite vocalist of all time) both gone way too soon. i have cried over the loss of both of them and to this day still feel sad when i hear their music
