@kingofthemosh i got some bad news for ya, Amerika is losing what little class (comparatively speaking) it has/had, year by year. It is a sad truth, but a truth nevertheless. if you want good bloodlines, and the courtesy, compassion, and polish that goes with it, yer gonna hafta head across The Pond. B'lee dat.
Joe, SRV, Eric, B.B., et al, ALL RULE!!!!!
so quitcherbitchen about who's best.
-
@rgbrin sorry but NO ONE will ever be Stevie!! Joe is excellent but no one will EVER be SRV!
-
Joe must be seen live, saw him a couple times, the Worcester show was the best concert I've ever seen, and I've been around. Can't wait for the concert in NY at the Beacon in Nov, go see him if he is anywhere near you unbelievable!

Joes was a legend by the time he was 20.
he should get a bit fat again though. lookin skinny don't suit him.
-
@rgbrin It's amazing , you can listen to one of Joe's songs and hear some Stevie , BB , then listen to another one that sounds a whole lot like Eric, all with a style of his own.
-
@eggwilbur Amen to that. I've seen him live many times and there really is no one like him. Incredible.
-
There is NO ONE like JOE BONAMASSA,,,,the man is the best,,,he's Stevie, Eric, Greeny, BB, and Buddy all rolled into one, and yet with a sound all his own,,,,Such a talented man...I never get tired of listening to this man play.....NEVER!!!

I find it funny that he's been most successful in the UK. Hendrix had to go over there all those years ago for people to take notice just the same. Maybe I should move to England because apparently America just doesn't "get" music for some reason.

Some blues bands and solo acts just sound corny and blur into one. JB is the real deal for me. Never get bored. Black Country Communion collaboration looks promising too.

@eggwilbur You love the blues at 60. Ditto. You are not an old fart. Keep
loving the blues.
i saw chuck berry in 1964, bought an axe soon after, broke my hand playing rugby, and didnt pick up a guitar untill i saw this kid 3 years ago, i,m 60 now and struggling with arthritis, but what an inspiration, i,m an old fart who,s loved the blues all his life,
i watch joe as often as i can, forget, clapton, beck, paige, 3 kings, moore, johnson
and anyone else you care to mention, he,s a class above. the greatest ive seen in 45 years. x
