Done by a senior team at GIK Institute in Pakistan, Wearable Gesture Recognition and Projection System (WGRPS) is a device that enables the user to create a link between the real and digital world. It is a wearable gestural interface that augments the physical world around us with digital information and lets us use natural hand gestures to interact with that information by using a mini projector and a camera coupled in a pendant like mobile wearable device. The device has different modules including virtual touch screen, interfaced cellular phone device, face recognition, text recognition, and playing different video games with natural hand gestures. The innovation behind the design is that the device uses camera as an input instead of a mouse, a touch screen or a keyboard and a projector as the output which is capable of painting the real world with digital information.
