  • Rowing is complete hell and torture, but for some reason it is impossible to give up. It's like a drug that is bad for you (while your doing it) but is addictive. However, rowers have the best bodies, physical endurance, and mental endurance.

  • @tedzelley you hav obviously never rowed. kayaking is for weaklings. kayaking is what explorers used to explore new lands a long time ago, while rowing was a form of capital punishment that was using to kill people. get the picture? i dare you to row 1 2k with 1:43 split. you would probably stop and cry, so please don't assume because that makes an ass out of you and me.

  • As someone who has done both rowing and middle-distance running, I can officially be classed as insane. There is nothing harder on this earth than those two sports where your body can't stay in one metabolic system, where everything tells you to stop. Sure, its only a 6-7 minute race, but its like standing in fire for 7 minutes! But for some reason, us rowers can't get enough of the pain, and the feeling of finishing a race or work piece is like ecstasy. I crave that feeling, and crave rowing!

  • Rowing=Pain=Suffering= AWESOME

    short: Rowing=Awesome

  • @absegamifrosh8

He was on a dynamic erg. Your stroke rate on that is like it is on a boat, so it will have been a lot faster than it would have been on a normal erg. Its also Eric Murray.

  • @mayandour maybe 141 watts.....

  • @mayandour maybe 141 watts.....

  • Any average joe can start a 2k out going hard, its the real rowers who are made when you hit the 750 mark and its time to shift up the rate and ignore the lactic acid in all of your muscles, and its the great rowers who are made when they can take that, then shift up once more with 250 to go.

  • @mayandour not even Dan Murray can do a 1:41 at a 20 seat rate. the man held a 1:36 for 1 hour and had to settle at a 30. his Heart rate was avg 190. Youre so full of shit your eyes are probably brown.

  • @sugga57 r u talkin about an erg test? i agree in every word u said... theres nothing that hurts like a 6k test.. i've done pretty much things that hurt a lot but a 6k test is THE thing i hate most.

  • @drewskimorley I did row at school and i agree it is an awesome experience but you have to agree it is a pretty flawed method of transportation.
