Here is another video of my 82 S10 V8. It has custom old school scalloped paint with frenched power antenna a fiberglass bumper cover/air dam,a Checkmate FX fiberglass bed cover etc. The interior has Pontiac Sunfire bucket seats, a Boyd Coddington steering wheel, an Alpine/Rockford stereo, Autometer Gauges keep tabs on the engine and the transmission temperature, the Weld wheels that will soon be replaced with 17" Boyd Coddington Savage Billet wheels which I have but are waiting on new tires to be installed. It was lowered with Belltech components and has ZQ8 anti-sway bars front and rear and a ZQ8 quick ratio steering box & Belltech Nitro drop shocks, it has full braided brake hoses and vented brake rotors. The drivetrain consists of a '72 Corvette 350 blck which was bored balanced and blueprinted, it has L89 Corvette aluminum heads that were ported & polished an Accel Gen 7 DFI electronic fuel injection system, an Accel Distributor controlled by the Accel Gen 7 computer, MSD 6AL ignition box and Blaster 2 coil, a Corvette radiator and electric fan keeps the engine cool, the exhaust consists of Hedman V8 conversion hedders flowing into 2 1/4 dual Flowmaster mufflers and full dual exhaust exiting behind the rear wheels, the engine feeds power into a 2004R auto transmission with shift kit and lock-up converter, which in turn feeds power into a 10 bolt S10 rear with a Camaro limited slip unit. It's a lot of fun to drive and turns heads everywhere it goes, gets about 16-18 mpg and runs high 13's on pump gas and on BFG Radial TA tires that get no traction! I plan to eventually back-half it with an S&W Race Cars 4 link kit rear frame kit and run Genuine Boyds Magneto 20X15 wheels with M/T 31X18X20 Sportsman S/R Radials, this should help out tremendously with the traction, then I'll be wanting even more power! :o)

  • I can't remember the hose part numbers anymore. There are pictures of it on V8S10 so you probably saw it there, The floor is a U-Coat-It and other than the high price tag I can not complain about it. It has been down just two years but still looks almost like new other than a few scratches.

  • It is a CheckMate FX bed cover by CheckerPro.

  • what kind of radiator do you have and where did you get it?

  • @383REN It's an '86-'88 Corvette Radiator "Jags That Run" recommends and sells for the swap.

  • @MEANlowGREEN ALRITE KOOL WHATS THE SIZE OF IT?

  • @383REN It measures 29 inches wide x 16.75 tall x 2.25 thick at the tanks and 1.375 core thickness.

  • cool truck. im currently building a 82 s10 and gonna drop a v8 350 out a corvette in it

  • thats funny i built that same truck years ago minus the antena in the cab.

  • badass!!

  • Which model radiator hose did you use? upper and lower? Nice truck, I think i've seen it on v8s10? Also, what garage floor coating do you have and opinions? lol

  • were you find the bed cover?

  • long like the s10's!!!!! keep em alive....dont ever junk a s10 we need em!

  • Not meaning to be nosey but how much did it cost to tear out the old engine and install the V8? I'm assuming you had to change out the entire power train and seriously beef up the suspension. I'm restoring a 90 model and want to try the swap myself
