'Nothing But The Magnificent' is a short artistic profile on Graham Simpson, co-founder and Bassist for Roxy Music.
Shortly after the first album was recorded he disappeared. Myths and legends about him formed, yet nobody knew what happened or where he went.
Friend and neighbor Sara Cook shot footage of him, calling it 'playing with her camera'.
Having formed BadLittleCook Films with her partner Miranda Little, this is the first short of Graham. We hope to make a full length documentary in the near future.
rediscovered by Bad Little Cook Films.

Made as part of a wider documentary, still in the process of being finished, the short celebrates Simpson's life as co-founder and original bassist of Roxy Music - born out of his relationship with Bryan Ferry in their early days together in Newcastle.

Screened at the Portobello Film Festival and The London International Documentary Festival in 2010, the film saw Simpson meeting his fans after years of anonymity.

He has sadly since passed away peacefully in Ladbroke Grove. He will be remembered by those that listened to him for his 'Melodic basslines' on Roxy Music's first eponymous album in 1972. For those that knew him, he was a much loved character in and around Ladbroke Grove, loved as much for his wit and humour as for the ever present sparkle in his eye..........
