Re: Ataque al HMS Invincible

Argentina to this day claims that she hit (and some say sank) HMS Invincible. On 30th May an attack did indeed take place but the attack focused on the escorts some distance ahead of the fleet.

The Exocet missed or may have been shot down by a fluke hit from a 4.5" shell from HMS Avenger, its debatable (after action combat reports are not exacly known for their accuracy). 2 of the 4 Skyhawks were shot down by Sea Dart from HMS Exeter. The remaining 2 attempted to bomb Avenger but missed.

The pilots to this day claim they hit Invincible. Of course anyone with half a brain can tell you that after action combat reports by pilots are about as much use as a chocolate teapot. Honest pilot impressions don't match the gun camera footage. Which brings me to an interesting point - that the Argentines apparently don't have any gun camera film of this "momentous event" but you can take the pilots word on trust; yeah right.

For the Argentines who claim that this lack of proof is because the A-4C doesn't have a gun camera. Well all USN aircraft since WWII have had a gun camera as a standard fit. If there isn't any gun camera film of this event, you can pretty well guarantee that it didn't happen.

Never mind that for the conspiracy to be possible requires the suspension of disbelief to the point of insanity, you will never succeed in convincing the Argentines that Invincible never received so much as a scratch.

Interestingly, the Argentine propaganda machine claimed to have sank HMS Invincible on six separate occasions during the war. Anyone with time on their hands can check the harbour in Portsmouth on Google Earth, you'll find Invincible sitting there.

So my first video on YouTube, sorry its a bit boring but I had a photo lying around that shows this is a lie. I don't suppose for one second it'll make any difference though.

Ninguna campaña es intachable: no desembarcar las tropas a toda prisa en Bluff Cove fue un grave error, entre otros, pero, seamos honrados, el ejercito británico y los Royal Marines combatieron muy bien, en conjunto. mejor que los reclutas argentinos y los mandos británicos fueron bastante superiores a los argentinos.

There where collects and donations the people made back there in Argentina.

There´s been lot of cases where people sent messages to Argentinian soldiers in between the wrapping paper of donated chocolates for an example, and lots of reports by people finding them (this little msgs. or letters)when buying chocolates at the supermarket... lol

Some people donate jewels and such 2.....
