@ayaprun : I should've been more explicent... My Bad! I was curious about the Devil ending? As a Footnote: I too, only saw this in the 70's... On the French Channel! We only had 3 CH.'s at the time ( 2 English & 1 French ).

@ShellTrek I believe that he was trying to portray the evolution of life. Notice how the life forms change. I've been looking for this for the past two weeks and knew it by the title "Evolution" . I first watched it on HBO either in the late 70's or early 80's.
