Hey you ... Iran

Pink Floyd song "Hey you" in solidarity with Iranian's movement for freedom (June 2009, Khordad 1388).
The election was held in June 12nd, 2009. After a highly suspicious counting (?) process, the ministry of interior of Ahmadinejad government declared him, the incumbent president, as the winner of the election. At the same time, the government interrupted most of the communication systems (cell phones, SMS, internet, ...).
On the next day (June 13rd), many Iranian people raised up against the upcoming fascist regime of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The demonstrations continued for the next days (including a huge rally on June 15th, with 1-3 million protestant estimated), until Friday when the supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, officially threatened people to go back to their homes, or "they and the opposition leaders (and most particularly Mr. Mousavi, the main rival of Ahmadinejad) are responsible for the possible bloodshed"...
However, people came to the street on the next day (The black Saturday, June 20th). The riot police with the help of the Islamic militia (Basij) targeted people by gunshots, tear gas, chemicals and killed 19-150 armless people and arrested at least 470.

This video is dedicated to all the brave women and men who fought for their rights.

my heart goes out to all those involved, the video is powerful.. The situation with the videos of that poor young girl Neda (her name meaning "the voice") and her "photo" becoming an icon recently just hits you deep in your soul. Sometimes you see a picture and you come to realize just what it means when they say a "picture paints a thousand words", the emotions in some of these recent photos are heart wrenching. This video could start a novel..
