prass7, I do not believe that it is a political hoax to scam money, but many enterprising people saw the potential and ran with it. Yes, carbon tax is just a scam, with no benefits whatsoever.

Well, arctic ice has receded and advanced repeatedly naturally for thousands of years, and we may be witnessing on of these receding events now. As for mountain glaciers. I do believe it is man made, but not because of global warming, but because of deforestation at the base of these mountains which allow warm air to travel up the mountain. Kilamanjaro is a great example of this.

You may be right about Kilamanjaro, however all of the Tibetan plateau is rapidly melting and most of the Andean Glaciers will be gone in 20 years.
It's a worldwide phenomenon.

Solar Irradiance HAS NOT caused global warming.

Sea levels are going up TWICE as fast as 50 years ago. Atmospheric CO2 is going up TWICE as fast as 50 years ago.
Greenland ice sheet calving is occurring TWICE as fast as it was 10 years ago.

goog2k, you may very well be right, but the numbers you are quoting have not been proven anywhere, in fact, some evidence has been showing the opposite. We honestly have no clue what is happening or why. Any scientist who claims to absolutely know, is irresponsible and I would be very suspicious of.
