Agarest Senki is a mix of interactive sequences between cast members and tactical turn-based battles where the protagonist and party face off against enemy forces and creatures. Similar to the first Agarest game, players start off with one hero but by way of the "Soul Breeding" system and hookups with an chosen heroine, further generations may be spawned to continue the bloodline. Interactive sequences are played to improve the connection with a heroine and when it's time for "breeding," the attributes of a girl and the hero himself are passed on to the offspring.

Special events during the course of the game are also triggered from time to time to move the hero's relationships along and strengthen the feelings between a couple as governed by the "Feeling Tension System." In essence then, the hero finds love on the home front but out in the world at large, there's a war to be fought which provides a substantial counterweight for the protagonist to endeavor through.

Man, the Japanese certainly do know how to make good games. Sprite based animations are so much better than the overrated 3D games that are always being pumped out onto the shelves. Its like people think that more visuals means more quality, when carefully constructed 16 bit animations can make it look just as nice.without detracting from the story. Has America lost its ability to make a good story?

@Runescythe9852 Seriously, hell, a sword can block bullets if one knows how to use it right. Oh and has anyone in America even try to let someone use a scepter thats originally used for hair pin but can stiffen it to use as a weapon? Probably not (look up Cocona Bartel from Ar Tonelico 2 if you want more details.)

Unfortunately those are the only guys people seem to want to play these days. Guns guns guns, I'm sick of seeing every single game based around that weapon.

Was that Ellis I just saw? She looks a little diffrent some how...Maybe it was Ellis's mother? And is anyone a little disappointed that they didn't make this trailor as funny as the first one? xD
