Originally with Borrah Minevich and his Harmonica Rascals, little JOHNNY PULEO launched his own show group, "Johnny Puleo and his Harmonica Gang" and enjoyed great success for many years.
Here they are, in all their wild musical and slapstick comedy glory, with host MILTON BERLE on a 1965 episode of Hollywood Palace, (ABC).
Great fun!
Brought back some very wonderful memories. Weren't they called the Harmonocats?

My dad was Victor Pace and played with Johnny and Borrah Minevitch. Was hoping to find some video with him in it. Seeing all these videos and listening to the music I grew up with is heartwarming. Brings back alot of wonderful memories from my childhood.

Ray Welcom is the harmonica player in the Zebra print vest with black pants, dark shirt, and purple scarf with dark navy hat. Now 74 years young, you can see him here: youtube.com/watch?v=ns64dEi75V0

@argonaut815 Ooops! The old eyes aren't what they used to be! My dad was not in this lineup on this particular broadcast! Closer observation tells me the man in the white cap was the amazing Bob Lass (who usually played bass harp, and still lives here in Vegas!). And the man on chord is none other than Pierre (Andre?). Ray Welcomb in the zebra vest, and of course, Frank Marquis conducting (but Uncle Miltie subbing for this bit)! Great times these were!

Talk about bringing tears to the eyes! My father, Dave Doucette, is in this video, in the white hat. He was the arranger for all their music and played lead harmonica, and took a lot of bites on the legs every night for decades. Along with being known as "Frenchie", he was also knicknamed "The Pencil", because he wrote an average of 300 arrangements a year - not just for the Puleo Gang - but for harp acts all over the world, From Borrah Minnevitch to Toots Theilmans.
