That's a good point, though in truth the market made free was the agriculture market, and right now we get more production from the tractors we employ, which have replaced slaves. Not really sure what point you were trying to make otherwise, were you just pointing out that we had slaves back then?

You're right about the "Free" part. Back then we used slaves to get stuff done.

The country was built on a free market, and a free market might work when globalization is not occurring, but with the huge global market, it just doesn't work as well. Obamacare is an expense, but one with moral backing, everyone in the country should have health insurance so that the tax payers don't have to pay for the incredibly huge costs of emergency room visits by people that can't pay for them. I think the government's current business laws are a detriment, but they can be done right.
