  • Who argued that ADHD is a disease? It's a classified as a disorder, not a disease. ADHD is a real disorder. It is a chemical imbalance of dopamine in the body. People with ADD and ADHD have less dopamine in their neuro transmitters then normal people do. Dopamine is the chemical your body produces to allow the feeling of pleasure. It is the chemical in cocaine that get's you high. It is a physical disorder and some people do have it. This guy is retarded.

  • Attention: This is scientologist propaganda. That means that this man has ideological reasons to say what he says. Thus said, isn't intended to be helpful, but rather stigmatize psychology even furter (as every scientologist knows that psychologists are a reptile race from outer space. And no, I'm not making this up.)

  • I was on 40 gr ritalin that the doctor gave me. Its pure fucking amphetamine drugs that made me feel so good that i overdosed it and became a drug addict on ritalin. It completely changed my personality and was emotionless and I lost like 40 kg. I became depressed couldnt sleep saw everything in black. Medication for adhd is pure shit and only turns u into to a fucking drug addict.

  • @lightup1990 disorder sounds even worse than a disease.

  • @akn0ledge Haha "fake-ass disease." Thats a great way to put it, its total nonsense. The drugs do more harm than the symptoms

  • @jeace99 Thats true, the chemical imbalance nonsense has never been shown in vivo, its ALWAYS been a hypothesis! They tout it like its some established fact, but its never been demonstrated!

  • @lightup1990 Did you know that the "chemical imbalance" thing has never been shown in vivo? Its just a theory, its never, ever been demonstrated. Theres a remarkable study, they took ADD kids and taught them how to generate beta brain waves on their own, without stimulants, and the symtoms went away. Its just a different way that people learn, its a specific personality type, not a disorder. Go research how many hundreds of millions the ADD drugs bring in annually, and maybe you'll understand.

  • @artisart ADD/ADHD is not a mental retardation it's a disorder that cause hpyeractivity or problem foucusing nothing more i have ADHD im not retarded i am in general classes not in speical ed so please becareful what you say. and my brain is not slowing any process or whatever im fine i act normal

  • @PrincessAshley121 Actually recent research at MSU has found that its both physical(environmental) and genetic. There are certain heavy metals that can trigger the effects of ADD-ADHD genetically. Its also found that these symptoms are amplified by processed foods, high sugar diets etc. Lead is a heavy metal, so is mercury which is being found in 1/3 of top selling popular name brand food. Mercury has been found to slow the developmental process of children's brain as well mental retardation.

  • This guy is a complete douche. First saying ADD/ADHD is a disease and not a disorder... and then practically saying that every one with this disorder are just imagining and should just pull them selves together... IDIOT! HE is the one stigmatizing people! ADD is just what happened and then you figure out what to do to function with it. I got it and the only way that would make me feel stigmatized is if I let clueless douches like this get to me.

  • @PrincessAshley121 Ok I don't want to be mean and I'm gonna try and explain in the nicest way, but here's the truth, can you see your own skin cells? hmm? what? NO, of course not, you have to use a microscope. I have 2 cousins whom are doctors, one has a science degree on-top of being in the medical field, plus my psychiatrist also agrees that a majority of people with ADHD is both genetic and environmental. Back in 70's well in 1973 all paints were longer to have lead in them why? PM me >_<
