The more that I listen to this; I realize how truly incredible Correlli was singing this aria. No other opera singer sang this aria better than he did..

It is as close to a perfect and masterful performance as one will ever hear.

An outstanding performance by a true opera legend... and he was self taught at that! Giordano may have written this beautiful masterpiece but Corelli owned it. Absolutely great.

Say what you will, you can argue all you like. Del Monaco? Gigli? Carreras? Domingo?. There never was and likely never will be a greater Andrea Chenier than Franco Corelli. A writer once said "he was born to sing Chenier"

Corelli debuted yet, even remotely, in the lyric, as he did with so powerful and beautiful voice was awesome. For fans and skilled in the lyric Corelli is the perfect "A.Chenier" the power and beauty of her voice, Magnificent and sublime interpretations as well, its great picture, is still the best.
