Actually Theraveda buddhist try to practice to break out of this physical dome now as where mahayana buddhists wait for the next buddha to come. So their practice is not as intense as Theravada, the truest ways of lord buddha. If Mahayana never existed and all buddists are Theraveda, alot more people will be buddhist which is contrary to the creator god worship. But buddhist are not atheist. We just believe what we do is what we get and thats down right true.
