If you look in band of brothers, one of the 101st 506th guys has a medkit on his helmet. Some still have the jump strap on their helmet. I think the only thing that is uniform is that the 101st guys didn't like the gas detector on their arm because it covered the screaming eagle. So they took it off, but with all that gear I don't think it was uniform. That's like saying "the jump knife was always on the left foot". You don't know that.

There's no Germans on the other end. Thats why its shooting left and right. And the impression is correct besides for the helmet, which was borrowed.

I realize that, but how can you expect anyone to take you serious when you look like you are controling a fire hose? If I was on the German end of that, I'd refuse to take a hit. By the way, if you are doing 101st, lose the arm flag. And unless you are doing 501st or 506, which you prolly are, lose the firstaid pack on the helmet.

I'm sure the guys whom it didn't bother left it hanging. Thats like saying I have to wear the khaki strap a certain way. Its individual preference.

By the way, when you are on the groun, the chincup is useless, lose it. And tuck the A straps up into your liner.

The chinstrap doesn't bother me, so I don't tuck it in.
