  • The dam has been operational for a year, and we've had record rain and snowfall in Iran so far. So much for your paranoid theory that the dam would destroy any sites.

  • Dr Salehi has no idea about what has already been destroyed in Bolaghi Plains. 131 historical sites are flooded so far.

  • Archeology teams from Germany, France, Italy, Japan, Poland, and the United States already went there before the area was flooded, to find artifacts. The international teams of archeologists announced that their excavations in the area are complete, so the dam was given a green light.

  • This is total fabrication. All the teams confirmed that there are many ancient sites in the aea whee the Sivand lake is created. Al the reports are kept by Pasargad Heritage Foundation and now they are being given to Unesco and the World Criminal Court.

  • this really make me nervous and really angry while in North America we have to account fro any dinky / tacky heritage building with some 100 years history only or a little frog / bird as endangered specious while in Iran we are witnessing such catastrophes of endangering such significant historic site with over 7 thousands year history!

    dam these idiots!

  • we all love korosh

  • Many artifacts were dug up during the 2 years of excavations and are safe. I dont know what the big deal is anymore. There is nothing else of value in the bolaghi plains, other than 2 hills and mud in between them.

  • Wow. No comments. The regime is destroying historic sites and there is no one to stop them. It would help to put more tags on this like "historic", "destruction", "dam".

It would be helpful to those like me if it was possibel to post items like this in English. Thanks.
