  • @Zswag22 And then after you do your homework you are like what the fuck did I do... I feel you I also bought a DE thinking they were all the same engines. Nissan should've put the HR motor since 03.

  • @kingssuck06 very true. those 3v gt's respond really well to mods. it doesnt take to pick up power in those gt's

  • @rahu8670 I would think the mustang would walk away with intake and a tune. Those 3V's are factory tuned for 87 oct. and can pick up like 35whp with a CAI and a tune

  • @TheVengefulCo I have to agree with KoukiMS6. In my experience, I have seen many z's run at the track. I have never seen an n/a hr z run a 13.1 at san antonio raceway. I know track prep, weather cond, and driving skill and many other things are taken into consideration. I have seen hr's trap around 105 with mods. . stock for stock hr z's and 3v gt's still make for a drivers race.

  • Good kill z. mod for mod would have made for an interesting race.

  • @TheVengefulCo Exactly, 10 cars do not represent realistically what a car can do, anymore than 10 people represent what that group can do. It is such a small percentage less than .01% of all Z's can do 13.1's. Shit, you can find a freak of a F-Body Camaro doing 12.5's, that doesn't mean it's a 12.5 second car, while the other 99.9% runs low 13's. The MAJORITY represents what can be done, not some incredibly small exception.

  • @KoukiMS6 dude driven to its potential its a 13.1 second car. How many of the 20,000 made have actually been to a drag strip? probably a few hundred. If one can do them (or in the Z's case 10) then they all can do them. And yup with an average driver its mid 13's, good driver 13.1 is possible. And damn you people act like all the tracks are the same. It depends at what track, elevation, weather, down to the damn tire pressure what a car runs, thats why theres exceptions.

  • @dragsteralf To me that is irrelevant. There are literally less than 10 HR Z's which have run 13.1's, out of over 20,000 made. I know of 1 guy who can walk on water, but I won't offer that as proof that people can do it. Sorry, but the average DE Z is a 14 second car, and the HR's are mid 13's on AVERAGE, about the same as a Mustang.

  • @sdlausen I agree completely, but calling a Mustang a 5 seater is completely ridiculous! You're talking like the Mustang is a Camry or something; it can seat 2 adults and 2 children in comfort, nothing more. And yes, the Z is a horrible daily driver.
