1st SS "Leibstandarte" & 5th SS "Wiking" @ Field Battle @ Rockford, Illinois 2008

Travis Jacobsen's 1st SS Leibstandarte and 2./SS.Pz.Pi.Bat.5 "Wiking" (WW2HRS Reenactment Unit) at the field battle in Rockford, Illinois on September 27th, 2008. We were on the extreme left flank, and after the tank was destroyed and I shut the camera off, we were attacked by the British and Americans. Our MG-42 jammed, and things got ugly. I shot a couple of Americans advancing on our line, and we shot a couple more crawlers, but they started to break through our lines on the right and center German lines. A 101st Airborne (?) soldier tried to bayonet one of my comrades who was holding the line, and we shot him as he was trying to slit his throat, but alas the line was already broken. I threw a grenade at a group of three advancing British soldiers, but I don't think they took their hits. Shortly thereafter Travis Jacobsen and I got hit by some Americans with Garands who broke through the lines after we started to retreat.

Ist echt der Wahnsinn was die da machen. In Deutschland wirst du allein schon festgenommen und in den Knast gesteckt wenn du dich mit so einer Uniform sehen lässt. Die Amis besudeln im wahrsten Sinn die schönen feldgrauen Uniformen. Wenn ich allein schon den einen fetten Ami mit dem Karabiner in der Ecke lümmeln seh krieg ich ne Halsschlagader wie einen Gartenschlauch.

Aber egal... Wir kommen wieder.

@StonewallJackson26 I don't think there was any real reason to be rude towards this. In WWI Canadian took Vimy Ridge with less men and in half the time of the british and the yanks... Just be proud of your country... it's called reenacting for a reason. I don't uderstand why you would watch this if you don't like it.

@Infiltrator50x Sie kommen nicht wieder. Dieser Zeit ist vorbei. Die Nazi bewegung war krank und ist endgultig besiegt. Die Amis verstehen das die waffen SS war sehr effizient als soldaten, und im diesen sinne koennen die respektieren. Allerdings die politische orientierung SS maenner war krank, und fast jede Ami (und auch fast jede Deutsche) kapiert das.
