Whilst 11.2 pounds muzzle energy IS capable of taking small game (such as rabbit) from a distance, the general consensus from air rifle hunters is that 12 foot pounds are are advised to ensure "clean" kills.

@guvnorrbm Air Arms Diablo Field Domed Pellets that's what i use ill try the rws

@bulbinking whilst your quite right the FPS does matter, the mass or weight of the pellet in question is just as important, so what you need to know for hunting is not the FPS as such but the ft/lb, or how hard it hits... in this gun's case 11.2 ft/lb (just under the UK legal maximum) so the 850 magnum is perfectly adequate for hunting of small game

The FPS matters more then the caliber, and that rifle only gets up to 650. So no, it would not be adequate for hunting rabbits. For a .22 pellet you would need a rifle that reaches velocities of at least 800 fps to successfully hunt rabbit (with proper shot placement of course).

where can i get air rifles like these in the U.K.? preferably england
why can t yous pointed pellet on this gun

@asiq1987 You can, but the pointed pellets tend to jam easy in the rotary magazine unlike the domes, I recommend the use of RWS Super Domes in the gun
