anyone seen this kind of thing on national geographic?when the tribes are dancing and trancing like this,only....its too the forest gods?? it appears that when people are in large groups with music playing and a believe system in place,this kind of reaction occures.the tribesman are not in trances over the christian god,but over their god.so who is just getting carried away?the tribes?or everyone?

@Faithswarrior159 It's often said that the burden of proof lies with the person who makes the claim. Personal experience is not exactly an argument - in that case people who are hallucinating are all right as well. Millions of people probably have own experiences of completely different things than you. What you perceive as someone guiding you, I would interpret as you actually using your brain. Mumbo-jumbo? I'd call it looking pragmatically at a world-wide picture.

@floppaboppa i see what you mean but not only does god speak to me in trance and in dreams and in waking state but he acts in my everyday life guiding me showing me the way and the truth to bring me closer to him he brought me from satanic ritual to becoming a missionary in his name explain that with your science mumbo jumbo

@Faithswarrior159 And the fact that your brain - on its own - can make you experience all these things and more completely escapes you. Why involve a higher power in your explanation of a phenomenon that can be fully explained, with no mumbo-jumbo at all, by the thing in your head?

The existence of trance-like states and OBEs (which by the way seems to involve a trance-like state) and hearing voices does not prove god. It just proves that the brain is an impressive organ.

@floppaboppa yes i know but god is real he speaks to us all we just need to learn to listen i listen and a trance is the word i use its a little different more like an obe but still different hard to describe but GOD is with us all and speaks to us all and if it be his will he will put us into trance and speak to or through us

@Faithswarrior159 The human brain is capable of producing unbelievably vivid images and experiences. There is no evidence whatsoever that the things you experience during a trance is produced by anything else than your brain. (Furthermore, there is no evidence - scientific or otherwise - that this complete lack of punctuation marks in a text will lead to a thinking individual taking you seriously.)

What do you think hypnosis involves? It's putting people into - yup, you guessed it - trance.

@floppaboppa trance can be evidence i myself have spoken with GOD during trance and dream and astral projection it is wonderful but this is not trance people dont speak in trance this is hypnosis a lie to make peopel beleive what ever the hypnotist wants them to beleive do or say
