Alex Trebek is a consumate champion host. He managed to pull even this...mess...out of the fire.

This does seem more suited for children given the animated character and silly persona, although the jokes would need be toned down a bit. Still, the meat of the gameplay doesn't look like it could appeal to a mainstream audience. Whatever the case, Alex's charisma and wit shine as he works well with whoever is the voice of Malcolm.

This seems like that this gameshow fell into that trap of trying to do something different in attempt to get viewers.

This is just awful.

Crazy. Good thing Alex stuck to Jeopardy!

Hey, that guy reminds me of Stretch MacGillicudy [?] from the Saget era of America's Funniest Home Videos...same team, perhaps?

i totally agree, and i agree with ur comment 2 drwnian.
I dunno -- this was kinda fun, but a little too hokey for 1983. Now, if it were 1972, it would have been ground-breaking?!? Reminds me a bit of the original "Press Your Luck".

Don't fault Alex for this train wreck. He did what he could to pull this out of the fire.
Actually, a LOT of retooling could have made this show viable. The gameplay portion of the show is pretty unique.
