This was another request from my Truman Show Medley. So here a tutorial, I played it a bit slower so you would not have to press pause the whole time.

First you will see how the left hand is to be played (i play right hand too so you know when to press what:P). And in the second part you will see how you should play the right hand..

If you have another (tutorial or normal) request just contact me =P

watch and learn =)

  • parts of your fingers around 2:00 weren't showing.. were those fingers playing anything?

  • @wendiex3 oh shit, you mean at 1:54. can never trust the pinky, can you? =P Ok but you're right, the pinky is sneakily hitting F when the others do as well;) but i see a lot of people are watching this crappy video, perhaps in holidays i'll do it better with the digital piano i got now. ;) Have fun, Yeti;

  • can you transcribe tabs for this or let us know where to find them? i can't read sheet music so it'd be really helpful to have tabs. thanks for the tutorial!

  • @dropsofcrimsonrain but also rule 4 has influence on 2 and 3:

    4. this is about a symbol that looks like: /_

    /_/ /

if you see this, most of the times right before a single note, then for all notes following on that line or between for the next part of the song the # or b that was before it, is made undone. so now it resets the # or b on that single line or between it.

then theres another thing to know, which line matches with wich note. kinda important huh. wel, in the next comment theres an

so, but how do you play a black key, for example the one right next to the middle C. well, that black key is called either C# (C-sharp) or Db (D-flat). C# you get when theres a note that indicates a C normally, but before that somewhere on the line (or between) is a #. Db is exactly the same key on the keyboard, and this you get by a note on D, but b before it.

  • @dropsofcrimsonrain its real good to learn how to read sheet music. i explained it now in very very very basic way, but if you dont understand some things, just ask me. ow and btw, the symbol i ASCIIed, uhm, its: /_[newline]/_/[newline]/

but okay, you should be able to figure it out by sheets easily now. if a key is not correct you'd probably hear it anyways and you can look what you did wrong and learn from it. btw, other symbols are rests etc. check out a tutorial, its real easy. have fun;)

  • @dropsofcrimsonrain so,

    1. there are two bars, the top one for right hand. the bottom one for left obviously.

    2. there is a symbol that looks like #. it can be placed anywhere on a line or between two lines. if theres a # it means you must read it as a key more to the right on your keyboard. unless rule 4 applies.

    3. there is also a symbol that does the contrary to #: it looks like b in italics. you must go one key on your keyboard to the left now for every note on that line after that symbol.

  • @dropsofcrimsonrain huh you cannot read sheets, but u can read tabs? that is real weird man. sheet music IS tab, but only it also contains rythm and lots other stuff for playing the piece in a certain way. you should be able to figure out the notes very easy yourself with sheets. there are only 4 things you must know.

Ill put them in a next comment now

  • very useful video I knew how to play it until the end of the first part, hopefully I can learn the rest now
