This MC 65 was a truly memorable event ! I was 25 then, also playing the classic guitar, and really heard about 2 or 3 performers in those days. Segovia was the absolute top. But in the Netherlands we hardly ever saw guitar maestro's like him. And so what I did was listen to his LP's and trying to copy his style. And his sound has always stayed with me. At 67 I still play the guitar at least 2 hours a day. This gives me great pleasure, for which salute Andres Segovia.

Cherry Lane sucks ass! Who's Mark Phillips, some drug addict?

Nice solo...must have been fun playing for Segovia! nice rare clip.

Segovia didn't have to say anything becuase he played his own transcription... and of course, Ray was perfect.
No need to say anything if it's perfect. In this case NOT " too many notes" amadeus

Ray Reussner, a very talented man.

@ThisisPolka That is exactly what I was thinking...jeezzzz man, just look at that guy's right hand....as if he has broken it to have it that perpendicular with the strings. That is something Segovia could suck upon...

I think he just wasn't expecting him to start when he did.

This is "Bourrée 1" - We have updated description. The Bourree is tabbed in the volume by Cherry Lane entitled J.S. Bach: 50 Solos For Classical Guitar (arranged by Mark Phillips) We have it in stock. It makes for a good read.
