A request by my friend Paapiru. Silent Hill 3 footage to "Letter - From the Lost Days" by Melissa Williamson. This is the first vid I've used a song from the actual source instead of picking a random song from an unreleated band. Enjoy watching it, 'cause I know I enjoyed making it.

  • Funeral Doom metal would have fit the atmosphere of this game alot better...this sounds like music someone would listen to when they're prancing through a field of flowers.

  • This is also the main theme of the the game, so yeah...As much as I love metal, I don't think it would fit all that well.

  • No... as much ast I listen to metal and rock, this music was made for the game.

You have a problem with it then don't listen.

  • Metal is my genre of choice, but I don't think metal fits with Silent Hill games.

  • @morbidsyn666 That's just the most retarded thing I've ever heard. Metal does not a good video-game create. Listen to some video-game soundtracks sometime before trying to impose your view on other people. =/

  • @SinisterScythe Thank you for speaking words of sanity. I wouldn't trade the music of Akira Yamaoka or Mary Elizabeth McGlynn for some shitty metal music. I guess some people don't have the kind of taste required to actually know what kind of music is actually GOOD for a game anymore.

  • @SlitYourThroatz The music embodies that sadness that Alessa or Heather or anyone else in the story feels from being exposed and having the true face of their heart pulled out and shown to them in the hellish other-worlds of Silent Hill. Heavy metal does not embody that feeling and force an audience to examine the story more closely because of the tone. It just compels you to focus on the game-play aspect and quite frankly, doesn't fit the speed of the game.

  • @SlitYourThroatz Well if you think of the original themes of the first 4 Silent Hills (and some of the ones after) it's always revolving around the way the human heart interprets love. Revenge for a lost father, denial of the truth of losing someone dear, the doubt that comes with pain and slow suffering, the desire to be loved by a parent that never existed, the strength we inherit when we're trying to keep our loved ones safe. The sadness is a sadness of the character. (pt1)

  • its possible you just have to be really good to beat it that fast its not very long tho

  • i'm playing the game so easy because i got unlimited submachine gun and beam saber so that's why i killed split worm in 2 seconds

  • Haha! You oughta try making one then. who knows? It might work. I'm actually planning to make one using a particular song from Slipknot. Oh boy I hope it goes right.. Anyways! Check my Silent Hill 3 AMV's on my channel! You might like them. Please do rate and comment it. Thanks!
