Architects, designers, engineers and students are being challenged to rethink one of the most crucial but controversial features of modern Britain: the electricity pylon.
The competition is run by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) for DECC and National Grid and calls for a new generation of pylon.

at last someone who understands the needs and fears of the people we all agree that they look ugly just like the windturbines being built now on the sea from designs created also 50 years ago
