I think Paul and Gene finally realized about 10-12 years ago, they just didn't need a really talented front man on lead guitar. The songs are very basic, the leads are very basic. Why get a big time lead guitarist who going shine brighter than the band. IMO, the band was at their best in 1977, but saw the height of their talent and song writing in 1986,87,88.

@AndurilSvkSvk I never understood people who missed peter and Ace. With the makeup on, they all look the same. It's not like their replacements had a HUGE spot to fill for KISS, because the drums and lead guitar of peter and of Ace was never anything spectacular anyway. Every replacemnet they have found at this point, is just as musically skilled as the original guys, if not than more skilled than Ace and peter.

The only reason I want Tommy and Eric to get their own make up is so they can leave THEIR legacy and have their own recognition, and not to mention to add more personas to the KISS family. I'm not calling them imposters or fakes or whatever I just think it would be cool for them to make a name for themselves.

Nowadays the band sounds better today than with Peter and Ace, they are who they are and have their own magic being the original Kiss members but Eric and Tommy are amazing musicians and the band has a strength and a solidity that is missing when Peter and Ace play. That said I have to add that I love all Kiss formations in some or other way and that I'd like to see Bruce back. No disrespect Tommy.

I have to give it to Paul, although he is actually a very arogant person(don't deny it), he sounds fucking amazing in live or in the studio. He's as old as hell, and still sounds as young as heaven.
Ace<3
I will hopefully be seeing them in December! :D
Even though it's not the original line-up, I think it's still worth seeing them. I'm only 15, so unfortunately, I wasn't born when the original line-up was performing. :(
Curse today's stupid music! :S
