H1N1 Committee Hearing Oct 21, 2009 pt 3 Vaccine Safety

In Pt 3 HHS goes back to the talking point of Vaccine safety referring to the seasonal flu manufacturing for the guideline of H1N1 Safety. Siting H1N1 studies do exist but never mentioning that even preliminary results of safety will not be complete until 2010. This is an absolute outrage that Congress is accepting this testimony as conclusive data without any specifics. Sebelius claims "we expect the safety to be similar to seasonal Flu" is vague, unscientific guesswork and being touted as science.
They also hedge around the issue of vaccine effectiveness by stating 90% of people vaccinated are having a "robust" reaction. There is NO data to support effectiveness to preventing getting the flu after the vaccination is received. The data actually shows about 68% protective effect on shots and 38% effective protection with the nasal mist. 90% " robust" reaction says nothing!

Toward the end of this clip HHS mentions how helpful communications have been to spreading the word. Sesame Street, ESPN, Facebook, and YouTube have been so helpful. In the past {2008} 300 billion dollars have been spent on promoting vaccines and antivirals and only 20 million spent on Safety testing of these same vaccines and antivirals. To me that really demonstrates the focus of the CDC and the FDA isn't really to keep us safe it's to keep us drugged up with experimental drugs at great profit to drug companies at taxpayer expense.
