This song makes me cry almost every time I'm a 28 yo Male firefighter paramedic.

I wish I could play it sooooo slow ;-)

His right hand technique is always incredible - percussive hybrid pick/fingerstyle - even slowed down and explained I am left with mouth hanging open in disbelief at TE's talent! - such a gift and such a humble spirit that wants to share his gift with the world.

This sounds even more genious when explained!
I think that a trait of a great song

Your little finger is as long as my leg. One of my problems is that my little finger is only 2/3s the size of the next finger ... makes for a lot of uncomfortable stretching.
Anyway, this is one of my favourite tunes. Thanks for making it.

I don't think that's correct, I believe in this tune, I don't know if there are exceptions in Tommy's other songs, but I think in this song Tommy didn't use his pinky at all.
When he has to play multiple notes on a beat, he uses his pick to pluck the 3rd to the 6th string, and his middle finger to pluck the 2nd string, and his ring finger to the 1st string. And I think he picks a maximum of three strings at a time, and I'm not talking about if he strums a chord.
he uses thumb and index to hold the pick, which fingers is he using fingerstyle. Is it just the middle finger?
