The best angle to see the fingering would be from the bridge looking towards the nut i think.

@Wats4Crick sorry, my bad, your right. i was looking thru my "Rolling Stones - London Years" sheet music book and the tuning said DGDGBD
Didn't suck that much - pretty nice in fact, thanks. I'm confused about the open G tuning, I thought it was DGDGBD but I see where someone posted it as GBDGBG. What's the difference? Thanks.

Thanks for the kind words. Well, Keith Richards doesn't even use a lower 1st string. He takes it off! Also, I'm pretty sure that the lowest string is a D, cuz going down or up to the G would sound and play weird. Lastly, when the lowest string is a D you can still get nice chords the same type fingerings that is typical of this open tuning. So I would use the DGDGBD tuning for common stuff like Stones etc...try Can't you hear me knocking by the stones in this tuning.....
