Just finished this about an hour ago. Pretty cool game. Not bad at all. A MUST for most open-minded Castlevania fans. Could've used a bit more enemies from the classic titles but, it was nice to see many of the old enemies in newer versions. Very nice attention to detail though. Voice acting is top-notch. Great sound effects and graphics. Pretty interesting storyline as well. Explains alot. Overall, very cool effort by Kojima and Co. Great game. Now back to waiting for Metal Gear Solid: Rising..

@Kevfate However, in my opinion this is the most beautiful Castlevania they've ever made :D Every word, every dialogue, every scenary, every creature and so on :D Everything has been perferctly studied for this epic game! Totally impeccable for who, like me, loves mediaval (or romantic) settings and legends :D If I could revive, I'd like to be a medieval Knight.. This is my dream.. That's why I love this kind of games :D Looking forward to the sequel!!! **

5:13 greatest musical buildup ever, gets me pumped everytime. perfect timing with all of the musical cues and probably the best line for the climax of the piece "God doesn't love you!"

I'm sticking with yahtzee on this. If it isn't metroidvania, doesn't have dracula, and not in a castle, then it's NOT castlevania. It's just god of war with the vampire killer (which is called the combat cross)

IN MY OPINION This isn't castlevania, castlevania is sidescrolling, 2d action, a crap load of bosses and enemies, INCREDIBLE MUSIC, and a bit of HOLY SHIT ITS HARD.
