and what wasn't anime was either transformers, DC, a violent CartoonCartoon(PPG)

or something anime-ish(Ben 10, Megas XLR, Jackie Chan)

everything other than that was basically He-man, thundercats, and Jonny Quest

at the least, it needs to be action packed. a good example would be the

Saturday Video Entertainment System CN had before toonami was on weekends.

if anything, toonami could have a block for "classic" anime on boomerang and newer shows on CN

@kidflashII which is why toonami would need to at first show anime from the 80s and 90s. I mean I've seen DBZ many times but seeing Kai is somewhat more refreshing.

I mean, Toonami's older anime such as sailor moon and Ronin Warriors are old and laughable nowadays, but a redub of those with some cleaned up animation would make them seem new entirely.

That would assume there was actually some GOOD anime to put on there.

that's why I chose mostly american shows. (Symbionic Titan is another one.)

If you recall the last season of Toonami had both Teen Titans and Justice league? It was never a 95% anime block. It had Beast Wars and Batman long before any of this bullshit from Fox kids.

Recent anime to me is Naruto, Bleach, Code Geass, Death Note, Bakugan, and Gurren Lagann.

although now that I look at them, my anime magazines are previewing the "New Play Station 3 system" :p

IMO, the 90's- early 00's had the best anime and manga.

really a good way the new toonami could be would start out with something slightly lamer and than get better as the night goes on.

(start with Yu-Gi-Oh and end with Dragon Ball {uncut} before the [AS] anime)

Little known is that Funimation actually did some "Uncut" episodes put only like 5

and season 0 is pretty good. only like 6 episodes have card games.

Young Justice and Gen. Rex? maybe, but those aren't even anime. that's what friday is for.

I envision Toonami to be an anime centric(95% anime) block. hopefully from 7-2 saturday night. after 11 would be the adult swim anime block(Toonami+)

sure i miss weekday toonami, but it's not practical

First take away every show dubbed by 4kids.

Basically it's Dragon Ball Z, A Giant robot show, a show from the 80s/90s or something fresh like Teen Titans.

So let's start with the 2011 cartoon slot.

Dragon ball Z kai, Young Justice, Generator Rex, and some good fresh Anime that nobodies heard about. I don/'t know any.
