i think she means the paper was 11 inches long--5 1/2 + 5 1/2 = 11
so it's 11 strips at 1 inch wide, 5 1/2 inches long.

you say the measurements of the pumpkin are 11 strips at 5 1/2 x 11. It doesn't look like these are ll inches long. I am misunderstanding. Thanks
