  • That poor engine.

  • The T-1 can't possibly be operating under it's 240 lbs. of steam pressure. The whistle sounds too weak. 2102 had a steamboat whistle on her for much of the 1970's and her's sounded much better. In fact when 2100 ran on the Winchester & Western AND on the Ohio Central her steamboat whistle then sounded very nice. It came off an N&W J.

  • I'm sorry, but this is just wrong. 2100 needs to be in Reading Co. paint and burning anthracite coal. We need a petition to buy it back from the bonehead who currently owns it.

  • JUST SEND IT BACK TO THE READING & NORTHERN, CONVERT IT BACK TO BURN COAL, REPAINT INTO ITS ORIGINAL READING COMPANY PAINT SCHEME, AND RUN IT ON FREIGHT OR PASSENGER TRAINS! WHAT TOM PAYNE DID TO THE 2100 WAS, AND STILL IS, INHUMANE! UNBELIEVABLE, TOM! THANKS FOR NOTHING! YOU JUST LITERALLY KILLED A PERFECTLY GOOD READING T-1! I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY!

  • Nice video! People still talk smack about this operation, but I rode it once and enjoyed the heck out of the ride, would have gone again thta season but they called it quits early. Say it was a bad business decision and I'll agree with you, but don't say they didn't do what they could to make it a neat ride.

  • @fabio40 Some (such as the flying scotsman, and the new Tornado,) have small lanterns mounted just above the buffers

  • @muddynmonte Ditch lights make it seem British??? British engines don't have lights on them at all.

  • Tom Payne always did like leaving those cylinder cocks open unnecessarily.

  • I'd still like to see the video taken by the GPRR staff of the runs
