*** WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY ***
Enjoy this surround gaming preview of Half Life 2.

This is a custom built computer, designed for graphics intensive processes such as video games or video editing.

The monitors used are three Samsung SyncMaster 2253BW 22" monitors.

To connect all three monitors to the computer, the Matrox TripleHead2Go Digital Edition is used.

Most modern games are supported for ultra widescreen resolutions up to 5040 x 1050 pixels.

  • Every single triple monitor setup I've seen has the periphery moniters angled like that, which is strange because it's theoretically incorrect. The math in video games always assumes a flat plane for projection regardless of your monitor size. And you can see this error as you turn past the combine CP officer for example.

But I guess it doesn't look so nice with LCD's that are so angle dependent.

  • @doltBmB Read the description... fuckface.

  • This is just my opinion. I think having three screens just to play a game is ridiculous. It is unnecessary rendering to max out a game and then to play it on a setup like that, it is too expensive, and it looks like a bad old Cinerama film. I think it also spoils some games, like the beginning of HL2. At 1:18, you can see both of G-Man's eyes. I think it was much scarier when you only saw one eye. What about Portal 2? What fun will it be when Wheatley asks you to turn around in that setup?

  • @RkivUnderground I tried turning around in Portal 2.

I had to go until he was right off the third monitor before he would do anything. :D

It is a totally different experience when you are right beside the computer as opposed to watching it online.

If you ever get a chance to test out a system like this, do it, you will not regret it.

I mainly use it for multitasking operations, but gaming is a cool side product to three monitors. Just like how 2 monitors is great, 3 is even better.

  • Does it work with 2 moniters because i have a moniter jsut sitting around and i want to connect them up pelase help

  • @NoschoolNorules You do not need this to run two monitors.

Just check your graphics card at the back of your computer, it should have an extra monitor port. If not, just buy a new graphics card with two monitor ports. (Mostly all mid end cards and up have this now)

It will be a lot cheaper then buying a TH2G

  • @killa524 The point is not having 3 screens. The point is a wider view of the content.

  • If you have three monitors it will make it run slower, like the FPS would go down right?

  • @Zantor135 Tis a bit of a dilemma for certain.

  • @doltBmB I Agree with you unless a game takes that into account and some do. when you lay three flat it gets real hard to see the other screens even for periphery so it is a waste..

  • @NoschoolNorules Yes but if you use only two monitors the Bezels will be in the center and that will annoy you.

  • what's a beezel? lol

  • I have two monitors but don't do multi-monitor gaming because one is 32 and one is 27. Just having two monitors for general use is a lot of fun though. Increases your productivity and you can watch a movie and play a game or browse the internet at the same time, it's great.

  • @JBond26 FOV(field of view)

  • Hey! I just found working HL2 E3 Demo at /watch?v=vqAZOrTzPVc

  • it does look kinda cool but why dont you let get one big monitor instead of pluging in and making ur computer work harder for 3 of them

  • @minimorley22 I'm sorry? The description doesn't even touch on that. And why call me a fuckface? I just noted a technical detail.
