BLUE WHALES in REDONDO BEACH, California • September 2011

Blue whales feeding right off Redondo Beach and hanging out for a while---this had not happened in anybody's memory until last year (2010) and many of us were delighted to see a small group come back this year; we saw 7 Blue whales on this trip. Voyager boat is docked at the Redondo Pier (www.voyagerexcursions.com). Daily trips $25 (a steal). No telling how long the whales will be there but some think it could be up to another 2 weeks.
Video was shot on Flip camera; a few of my friends were on the boat, too, in case you are wondering who these people are ;) I left in the original sound but also added a soundtrack, which I assembled from various whale sounds found on the internet plus one Apple loop.
