After a nice night in the hotel in Hickory, NC, we drove back to Bostic, NC for some CSX railfanning. The location was beautiful, the owner of the house was friendly, the day was gorgeous, and the traffic was just perfect. Every time I began to get bored, something great happened!

The first train, an extremely short manifest, was headed by AC4400CW #2 at 9:05am.

  • @steampower2001 Wow!

  • @trainkid16 Yea, I guess! It was lashed up with another GP30 still in its Santa Fe paint scheme. So, when you put it that way, I guess it wasn't so bad after all!

  • @steampower2001 Hey, a GP30's still a heck of a catch!

  • Nice shot Chip! I went down to New Albany, MS today, and Didn't catch a single train! All I saw was Hi-Railer and there was a BNSF GP30 sitting on a siding but that's all.
