@Lee94503 I don't think so. There are so many olympic disciplines already. And besides, fighting is fighting. You don't need to put in so many different versions of one and the same thing.

@untamexxx Ever saw actual competitions in Tondo? They don't have any kind of protective gear at all. Anyway, I don't think you want to come out of that injured, so, I'd say, protective gear is cool.
-
agreed, they just focused on the hitting and some of the movements rather than the technique and the footwork. I mean hell, they did not even follow throw with some of the strikes that seriously took away the power. I bet they would fight differently IF they did not wear the armor.

What the hell was that !?! anyone of those head shots would have ended the fight and a shot on tthe hand would have caused you to drop the stick ending the fight. that wouldn't have happened in reality. there was no tecnique and the body mechanics were horrble.
pillow fight! competitions and training should always be hard core. live sticks and a head gear, thats all! thats true filipino stick fighting. Armor? Bullshit. Thats for commercialized arnis, thats all it is.

Pillow fight? This certainly was no pillow fight... If it was, there would be at least two more girls, we definitely would wear much less than the armor and we wouldn't be at the gym...

Nice. Nice gym too. I wonder if you do it without armor, like here in the states.

Actually we're located in San Diego. Tori had travelled to the P.I. to compete. We practice full contact with the armor on though. I don't believe it's uncommon, I saw a comptetition in San Francisco with body armor. Thanks for checking out the site. Keep in touch, I checked out your site and am interested to learn about your training. Ed
