Get over it. Please. THE harmony is magnificent all pure sunshine and joyfulness hearing their voices. So happy I clicked on here today. 5*'s ++ to infinity XTC.

This is a promotional performance on long forgotten chat show not Live Aid.

Lip-synching has long been accepted in the UK - I hate watching "Top of the Pops" clips for this reason. Jools Holland, on the other hand, is a whole different matter - done live and he's not afraid to swtich things up on the bands right in the midst of things.

Do any of you really think this could of been performed live?

@JavelBleach It's not really the age of the clip; lip syncing on UK TV shows has long been acceptable, but on US shows (especially by 1992) live performances are required. Even Elvis on Ed Sullivan ('56) is clearly a live performance, not a lip sync. Or remember the Ashley Simpson fiasco? I'm not current on UK TV music performances, but I think it's much more of a cultural thing than a generational thing.

@DunkRyan It was acceptable in 1992 cos most people were taken in, the way most people in France (for example) believe the actors in US TV serials are really speaking French!

So weird, why is it acceptable in UK just to lip sync instead of actually preform?
Very good. Do you know what TV show this was on?
