This economy was headed for a train wreck no matter who was president. It was all thanks to sub-prime mortages which were championed by Chris Dodd and "banking queen" Barney Frank. And while the rest of the world is on its way to recovery, we still have unemployment above 8% thanks to Obama. Also, if the numbers were calculated the way they were for Bush, unemployment would be 10.8%.

It is actually around 17.3%. 20% was a bit of rounding up. However the U6 has been as high as 18% under Obama. Never was that high under Bush even after the recession started.

You're either blind or high. You also need to learn the difference between the U3 unemployment number and the U6. The U3 is whatever Obama wants it to be since they can doctor the numbers of available jobs, omit people no longer getting benefits, etc. If the same numbers were used to determine the U3 as were used when Bush's numbers were at 5%, Obama's U3 would be 10.8% for the same number of people out of work. The U6 counts people who have given up and are underemployed. cont'
